About Connemara

Connemara is a district in the beautiful West of Ireland, facing the Atlantic. Its coastline has tiny coves, bays and fishing villages like Roundstone, Letterfrack, Leenane  and Clifden. Connemara National Park is a vast expanse of mountains, bogs, heathland and lakes. The park is also home to a herd of Connemara ponies. The area’s main town, Clifden, has several venues for traditional Irish music. There too, are the ruins of Gothic Revival–style, the Clifden Castle.

About Burren

The Burren is a region of County Clare in the west of Ireland, around 30 minutes away by car from the city of Galway.  It’s a karst landscape of bedrock incorporating a vast cracked pavement of glacial-era limestone, with cliffs and caves, fossils, rock formations and archaeological sites. On the Atlantic coast, the precipitous Cliffs of Moher are home to thousands of seabirds, including puffins. Nearby Doolin village is a renowned centre for traditional Irish music.
